EAssessment Guidelines

Bianry Blue and Learning Australia Pty Ltd were commissioned by FLAG and the National Quality Council to develop the national guidelines for eAssessment.

The project entailed consulting extensively with the vocational education and training sector, and developing a set of guidelines that can be used to evaluate eassessment tools and technologies.

Five detailed case studies were also written on the use of eassessment tools across a variety of training organisations - video in RPL, mobile phones, ePortfolios, the virtual classroom and simulation in training air crewmen for the Australian Army's Blackhawk helicopter.

A narrative style was adopted for the case studies, which provided a realistic insight into the way practitioners use these technologies in their assessment.

A web site was also developed that contains an interactive version of the guidelines, PDF versions of the case studies and video interviews with the practitioners in the case studies.
